Sunderbans as the name suggests ‘Sunder’ means beautiful ‘Ban’ means forest. It is the largest single block of tidal halophytic mangrove forest in the world. The Sunderbans cover parts of Indian Territory of West Bengal State and parts of Bangladesh. It has been declared a World UNESCO heritage site. Sunderbans is one of the largest reserves for Royal Bengal tiger and the region is densely covered by mangrove forests.
In this region you will not find any borders that separate the fresh water with saline water and river from sea. In this region there are no guides, roads, only the boats will glide through the creeks. If you are lucky enough you will have a glimpse of the famous Royal Bengal tiger as you cruise in the boat through the creeks.
Sunderban is a must for every forest adventure lovers as it is the most thrilling experience in a thick dense forest surrounded by water and mangroves.
