Bhrigu Lake & Peak is situated in the upper Kullu Valley, east of Rohtang Pass in Himachal Pradesh. The name of the lake is derived from the peak “Bhrigu”. As per the history the saint of Saptarshi fame Maharshi Bhrigu medicated on the bank of this holy lake at a height of 4270Mtr/14000ft. above sea level. Natures beauty can be enjoyed by each and everyone joining the trek right from first timer to experienced trekker. Trekkers can also have a glimpse of the surrounding valleys upper Kullu, Solang and Rohtang Pass. One can also have a view of the snow peak of Dhauladhar Range and Pir Panjal.
The trek starts and ends at a Village name after the saint of Sapatarshi fame Rishi Vashisht. The village has wooden temple along with hot springs and waterfalls. The Bhrigu Lake is frozen for most part of the Year. Trekkers can get a fill of trekking on the snow filled fun. The trek trails through the virgin forest and lush green meadows.
